Without the internship program, I don’t know what kind of osteo I would be right now! It gave me guidance and endless support when I was a newly graduated osteopath, helping me fine tune not only my hands on skills but also diagnostic and critical thinking. I was able to explore certain areas of osteopathy I didn’t know I was interested in, and has lead me to become extremely passionate in paediatrics, pregnancy and women’s health. When I think about the osteo I was before this program, I honestly can’t believe how far I’ve come!

As an intern it can be very nervous and daunting initially as you are beginning to put everything that you have learnt at university into practice for some of the first times. Nothing can take this feeling away, however the support that the TBHC internship offered certainly helped to reduce this. All of the osteos here at TBHC were willing to answer any questions that I may have had or offer some guidance when required.
The weekly tutorials that we do also really help with learning and brainstorming new ways to tackle difficult cases.

The Osteopathic Internship gave me such a great launch into my Osteo career.
I felt fairly confident coming out of uni about some common conditions and anatomy, but I was definitely lacking in the patient care and communication side of things which is 10 times more important.
After completing the internship I felt so confident in managing different types of patients from an initial consult through to end stage management, and without it I think I would still be trying to work all of that side of things out years on!
